Being situated in the heart of the beautiful mountainous landscape of the Ore Mountains and the Vogtland, that‘s what Klingenthal is all about. Despite being officially recognized as a leisure area, the city can also be considered as hiker‘s paradise. The loop road around Klingenthal and Zwota is the second one in Saxony to fulfill the requirements of being a „First-class hiking trail". The 32-kilometer-long Höhensteig only takes course on an elevation of 800 meters ore more. It is characterized by many vantage points, which makes the hiking trail a unique one, and by its beauty of landscape.
